About the role

Working in our small Software Team, taking FPGA designs from high level concepts to a working system, including the rapid preparation of customer demo systems.

What will I be accountable for?

The successful candidate will be developing and implementing Arm’s World leading Image Signal Processor (ISP) IP cores, working closely with verification team to design a system environment for RTL/FPGA/Models co-verification. Responsible for creating and maintaining the co-verification framework. This is a very hands-on design role requiring good debug and problem solving skills.

What skills, experience and qualifications do I need?

Skills Required

  • Expert in one of VHDL or Verilog with experience in the other
  • Build up and maintain FPGA test platforms and generate sub-module design
  • Design complexity > 1M gates
  • Good Linux and hardware knowledge is advantage
  • Basic C, Python, TCL or similar;
  • Good written communication skills, with the ability to develop clear design requirement specifications and technical reference manuals
  • Excellent analytic and troubleshooting skills
  • Good English skills both written and oral

Experience Required

  • Embedded Arm and use of IP blocks
  • Xilinx and Altera experience, Stratix SOC, Zynq SOC, Virtex7…
  • Familiar with lab equipment, such as oscilloscope, etc;
  • Bring-up of embedded processor systems
  • Experience in image processing would be useful.
  • Matlab – basic working knowledge

Other Requirements:

  • This position is within a small team so the successful candidate must be able to work well with colleagues and possess good communication skills.
  • The candidate must be highly motivated, keen to make a real contribution to the development of our range of IP and software products
  • The position may involve occasional travel to customer sites
  • Bachelors or equivalent degree in a relevant technical subject.
