Senior DDI Engineer
NCC Group’s managed security services team are looking to recruit an additional Engineer who has experience working with DDI. Our managed security services team is an established, dynamic, agile IT & Information security provider operating from both Reading and Leeds. We have a strong track record of defining, implementing and supporting both security and IPAM (Internet Protocol Address Management) solutions and services for customers across a variety of industries. This role is based in Reading.
Key Responsibilities (include)
This position offers an opportunity to join a dynamic technical support team which provides front line technical support for NCC Group’s IPAM products and services. This role will focus on providing supplying software solutions in the network management area for large, multi-national blue-chip customers in the Domain Name Service (DNS), Dynamic Host Configuration Protocol (DHCP) and IP Address Management (IPAM) space specializing in the following vendors:
- Alcatel Lucent VitalQIP
Main responsibilities will include first and second line (working towards third line) telephone technical support enquiries from customers and providing technical support, workarounds and solutions for customer problems.
You will quickly gain commercial experience in leading edge technology areas that will provide a solid foundation for a technical career.
- Experience in Supporting DDI, DNS and DHCP
- Linux Skills
- IP Address Management
- Good troubleshooting skills.
- Professional and confident telephone manner.
- Able to demonstrate diplomacy and understanding to customers.
- Logical problem-solving approach is essential.
- Good knowledge of IT necessary, preferably service-provider based.
- Experience working in a helpdesk / call-centre environment, IT environment
- Responsible for adhering to all internal policy and procedures in relation to security and quality best practice.
- Microsoft Server 2003 + AD Skills
- Linux Skills
- Sybase Database Operations Knowledge
