Job Description

Role & Responsibilities:

The Architecture and Technology Group at ARM is responsible for developing technologies and products for ARM’s future architecture roadmap. The Architecture Verification product group at ARM develops Architecture Compliance Kits that are deployed by multiple development teams to prove that implementations are compliant to the ARM architecture rules. This role gives an opportunity to work on the latest Architecture of the ARM Cores & System IPs. ARM Architecture Verification Engineers are required to develop strong ARM Architectural Knowledge and apply both hardware and software verification skills to develop high quality and reliable verification collateral. They work as part of the architecture verification team to ensure that all areas of the architecture are understood and thoroughly verified. A suitable candidate for this role must possess good engineering and technical skills, fair understanding of CPU architecture and microarchitectures skills and communication skills.


Role & Responsibilities

  • Lead and motivate a team of highly skilled engineers to design and develop the verification collateral (Test plan, Testcases and qualification) for the project successfully.
  • Own the product, understand architecture specifications, carry out/drive investigations and feasibility studies, develop verification strategy and drive development of compliance product
  • Provide technical leadership, with an ability to drive forward innovation in technical areas.
  • Good understanding of different verification environments & toolchains
  • Writing tests in assembly/C/C++/ HVL and higher abstraction languages with scripting/automating as needed
  • Ability to work well as part of a team both locally, and also with remote or multi-site teams
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Self-motivated and willing to take up additional responsibilities to contribute to the team’s success.

Job Requirements

Qualification & Experience

  • Good University degree in Computer Engineering/Computer Science or Electronics Engineering. Other candidates will be considered if they have relevant experience.
  • 12+ Years of engineering experience with Technical leadership experience.
  • Experience in the Microprocessor domain. Familiarity with ARM (or x86) architecture or micro-architecture or complex IP development.

Desirable Skills

  • Experience in leading verification teams.
  • Strong understanding of basic computer architecture and familiarity in the area of Multicores and Virtualization
  • Excellent in logical programming using C/C++/Assembly with experience in adopting best software development practices.
  • Experienced in verification best practices such as Test Plan development, Testcase development and measurable execution thereof

The ARM Bangalore office employs staff from the Architecture & Technology, CPU, Physical Design, Systems & Software and Administrative Support teams.
