Primary purpose of the position:

Reward is about finding the right reward programs to support the strategic direction of the business and its unique culture. It’s about balancing what is affordable and what makes us competitive in the market. The Inmarsat Reward Team is looking for a temporary Group Benefits Manager to cover maternity leave.

Key responsibilities of the position:

• Oversight and tracking of global benefits ensuring consistent with reward philosophy and strategy

• Understand and communicate benefits approach to HR Leadership Team and regional HR directors

• Work with Group procurement and regional HR directors in using brokers to obtain market competitive benefits and customer service at most competitive rates, both for renewals and new countries

• Responsible for directly managing existing EMEA (excluding Norway & Netherlands) benefits, answering questions and supporting benefit audits

• Co-ordinate and provide benefit cost information to finance for budgeting purposes

• Assist with review and analysis of benefits provision compared to best practice in each respective market to ensure competitive

• Co-ordinate payments of benefits around the group and recharging to business

• Special projects

• Support global mobility:

- Manage relationship with mobility providers ensuring a high level of performance, client satisfaction and cost effectiveness;

- Work closely with the HR Operations team to oversee global mobility processes; and

- Provide mobility data relating to various assignment allowances.

Essential knowledge and skills:

• Minimum 3-5 years’ experience managing benefit plans

• Managing team

• Detailed knowledge of UK benefit plans e.g. medical, dental, life assurance, income protection [company car schemes not relevant] including annual renewal process

• Knowledge of benefit plans outside UK

• Exposure to global mobility practices

• Self-motivated, able to work with minimal levels of supervision in a high growth environment

• Excel spreadsheet skills
