2017 Hardware Training Intern - 6 week ARM

Job Description

Would you like to do your traineeship at our company working in a real project? Do you see your self working with other colleagues in a team to develop an IP from scratch? Are you able to develop documentation, execute presentations and code in VHDL or Verilog? Are you willing to ramp-up yourself with new simulators from Cadence or Synopsys? Do you see the benefit in reviewing your work with peers and will you be happy to review your project work with senior engineers in the office? Do you see yourself successfully meeting all the project milestones, no matter what it takes, to reach the final project end date as originally planned with your team and your project manager? If you answer yes to all of the previous questions then you must contact Duolog for the six to eight weeks traineeship!

During the last three years we have been executing our UART training and tens of young engineers have enjoyed our great atmosphere and office environment.

What does the UART training look like?!

The UART design & verification training provides a first real world Industry experience to new engineers.

The purpose of the training is to ramp-up potential new colleagues with various product development concepts such as design/verification technologies and methodologies, engineering best practices, quality processes and procedures, communication and presentation skills, reporting skills, among many other.

During the training the engineers use leading EDA tools from Duolog and other vendors such as Cadence Design Systems and Mentor Graphics.

The UART training has the following phases: requirement analysis, functional specification, functional specification presentation, architectural specification, architectural specification presentation, RTL coding, RTL code review, verification planning, verification specification presentation, testbench writing, testbench code review, verification and coverage closure, final project presentation and self assessment and lessons learned reporting. You will participate in all the phases with your colleagues in a team of 3-4!

The training is executed as a full fledged project with a project manager allocated and several review milestones conducted by different members of Duolog's Engineering Team.

Job Requirements

Requirements to apply for the traineeship:

- on your way towards the graduation as an Engineer and willing to work in IC design and verification once you graduate,

- you have at least a subject in digital design and should know at least VHDL or Verilog,

- pass all the technical interviews,

- at least intermediate spoken and written English.

We are going to run up to eight traineeships during the next 12 months in teams of 3-4 engineers each.
