Here at Hiscox our Lisbon office is seeking a new addition to the team to ensure software delivery across our European offices. This role will require the successful individual to take ownership as well as grow and evolve the existing software delivery practise within our enterprise business
As a successful and experienced software delivery professional you will support our other Delivery Managers as well as well as personally managing change for target applications within the Hiscox portfolio
You will be experienced in managing application change and delivery as well as delivering this in an international, remote or virtual environment and will be well versed in stable Agile delivery, with exposure and understanding of DevOps process and thinking
To be successful in this role you will have experience delivering application change using agile methodologies. You will have experience and proven ability to drive positive change and improvements in working practices by working closely with the team, customers, partners and third parties across multiple EU geographies.
Within this role you will be required to:
Provide definition and management of the application delivery management framework for Hiscox, including enhancements, consistency of delivery, process and governance of change
Take ownership of software delivery across Hiscox Europe
Driving continuous improvements in the delivery of applications via use of best practice and continual development and review of delivery practise
Being a champion and evangelist for Delivery Management best practice
Keep abreast of development trends, industry best practices and frequent changes in agile/DevOps delivery principles
Whilst you are in this role you will take responsibility for the management and delivery of application change across the Hiscox Europe technology environment. Your role will see you working and managing 3rd party delivery teams and supporting stakeholders with their change requests. You will be familiar with delivery planning, change control and integration and prioritisation of releases to suit/support technical need and will have previously planned software implementations across an enterprise business environment. As an insurance we manage risk. You will also be able to maintain risk dependencies, issues and logs and identify suitable resource to enable better and more efficient delivery whilst maintaining Hiscox delivery standards and governance control.
You will be a keen and confident communicator, comfortable working with internal and external stakeholders and with a focus on quality throughout. As an English speaking business you will require fluent written and spoken English language – further language skills in French, Spanish or Dutch would be beneficial but are not essential
