Our Technology department is revolutionising the way people interact with food online every day by exploring new channels, such as voice-controlled ordering and virtual reality. Our team also collaborates with other internal departments to make sure our products and tech are tailor made from top insights and industry expertise.

Our product and technology investments and operations remain critical to our competitive position and operational reliability. Financial control and planning in technology is central to ensuring we invest efficiently and with the appropriate priorities.
Responding to organisational changes in the Just Eat business, Global ‘centres of excellence’ are being formed to take responsibility for strategic challenges such as delivery, brand, data and restaurants which brings a great opportunity to adopt a more coordinated approach to Commercial Finance.
We are looking to hire a talented Commercial Finance Leader to partner with Just Eat’s Product & Technology organisation and its leadership team.
With a challenging agenda the Head of Finance - Technology & Product will partner closely with our CPTO and their team, and will be crucial in developing the key initiatives that will form our Product & Technology strategy.
Primary point of contact and finance lead for the Chief Product & Technology Officer and the Product & Technology Leadership team
Ownership of producing, developing and maintaining budgets and forecasts for the centrally-administered technology expenditure; and for expenditure currently administered locally, guidance of local budgets and, over time, developing new ways of managing spending that combine central and local control
Collating, monitoring and analysing business data pertaining to commercial activities and reporting back to all internal stakeholders e.g. performance against budget
Ensuring all commercial activities meet or improve on budget and reforecasting accordingly throughout the year
Working with the Commercial Finance Director and Chief Product & Technology Officer to create Product and Technology strategy plans, construct long-term financial models, and set long-term commercial priorities; including pursuing operating efficiencies across the Product & Technology organisation
Development of commercial KPIs and objectives governing the execution of our product and technology strategy, including collation, monitoring and analysis
Active commercial role in supporting project delivery and decision-making, including orchestrating investment appraisal ‘business cases’ in collaboration with technology product divisions and partner divisions such as the customer division
Finance lead on relationships with third party technology suppliers including restaurant hardware suppliers
Jointly developing our technology supplier strategy with the technology leadership team, including contributing to establishing major new commercial relationships
Developing and maintaining an improved set of financial and accounting processes and controls, partnering with management and leveraging support from the wider finance team
Appropriate supervision of contract sign-offs, purchase order processing and hiring requisitions by technology finance team members
Fostering a progressive and positive culture between the business and the finance team
Qualified accountant with post qualified, in-house commercial experience
Exceptional stakeholder management and able to deliver successful outcomes in a fast-moving, strongly results-driven environment
Experience in e-commerce marketplaces, their ordering platforms, operations and customer support beneficial
Supplier negotiations, including experience of dealing with large-scale cross-border hardware suppliers
Advanced cost analysis & modelling skills
Understanding of online marketplaces and the takeaway market
Ability to originate financial evaluations of new market opportunities
Forging long term, trusting business relationships with leadership and suppliers and being comfortable to advise, support and challenge senior stakeholders to achieve successful outcomes
A proven track record of influencing decision makers and driving business improvement
Self-motivated requiring little guidance and constantly providing proactive, value-add contribution to the Customer Leadership team
