Responsibilities

As our Category Development Manager for FM and Site Services, you will be reporting in to the Head of Category – Services & Retail Partnerships and be responsible for managing and growing a diverse category covering all FM services in both hard and soft categories, such services include window cleaning, general cleaning, grounds maintenance, HVAC, security systems etc.

You will develop and implement a category strategy whilst building and maintaining effect supplier and client relationships. Accountable for your own category spend, you will work through key steps in the Foodbuy Procurement Framework focussing on start-up, strategy, and continuous improvement. As the expert in your category you will drive relationships with clients maximising the value of these relationships for the business.

Ideal Candidate

To be right for us, you will have previous experience in a Category Management role with a passion for purchasing, ideally you will have direct experience in these categories. This role includes a heavy element of relationship management therefore you will be able to converse with confidence and authority with stakeholders at all levels of the business both internally and externally. You will be resilient and have the ability to juggle multiple priorities at any given time. There is a huge opportunity to grow these categories both with existing internal and external clients as well as new. Proven experience of supplier and client management is key. You will be educated to degree level (or equivalent) and ideally you will hold a relevant CIPS qualification.
