The apprenticeship program commences annually in September at the Macclesfield site and we are offering a Quality Control role in the following:

Quality Control Technical Officer – this role is to provide expert technical support to the Quality Control function in real time to ensure testing of product/validation of equipment, methods and systems is carried out within agreed customer service lead-times. To maintain all QC critical instrumentation in a permanent state of readiness.

Training is provided to ensure the Apprentice is fully competent by the end of their program. The Apprentice will gain transferable core skills and knowledge. In addition, they will gain skills specific to the working practices of their place of employment. The requirements of the Apprenticeship are designed to offer stretch and progression.

Further training as required will be confirmed at the start of the training plan. Training to be part of the contracted hours making up the working week. You will be working towards a Level 5 qualification. Typically, this will be a Foundation Degree in an Applied Chemical Science Technology Foundation Degree.

Entry Requirements:

  • Five GCSEs (or equivalent) grades 9-4 (A*–C) including Maths, English and Science; plus
  • 2 A Levels (or equivalent) at grade C or above (96 UCAS points on the 2017 tariff) including Chemistry and/or Biology and/or Applied Science depending on which apprenticeship you to hope to study.
