The successful candidate will be hired at either a C or D band based on their experience and capabilities.

The Supply Planning Process Execution Team (SP PET) is accountable for developing and maintaining the 0 – 36 month supply plan for the site assets as part of the global end to end supply chain. This requires close collaboration with global planning and site process execution teams to ensure site capabilities are accurately understood, supply plans are well developed and able to be executed, and future targets are meaningful and achievable.

The SP PET is also accountable for:

  • Incoming direct materials planning and supplier management
  • All activities around import/export of materials and relationship management with the associated supply/customer production sites
  • All materials/production data management
  • Implementation and control of all new/changed packing materials graphics and associated documentation.

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

The Supply Planning - Production & Material Planner supports all elements of the Newark site planning process and the Global planning processes. The PMP will attain and maintain compliance with APO Drivers Licence requirements. The PMP is accountable for availability of starting materials for production processes and for ensuring that the Packaging & Formulation PETs produce to customer demand. He/She is responsible for daily supply chain management activities including: forecast integration, demand management, supply planning, inventory management, event planning,

  • Planning & Scheduling Processes
  • Site & Global Planning Process
  • Super User



  • Bachelors Degree in Business Administration, Logistics, Engineering, or related discipline


  • Systems savvy – ability to become proficient in computer systems and applications
  • Strong knowledge of production supply chain principles
  • Ability to work collaboratively with others to achieve desired business results
  • Strong influencing, negotiation, interpersonal, and communications skills
  • Ability to work in and direct cross-functional teams
  • Excellent analytical and problem solving skills
  • Excellent relationship management skills


  • Minimum of three (3) years' experience in Pharmaceutical and/or other industry supply chain management, or related disciplines is preferred
  • Ability to understand and apply Lean principles is preferred
  • Knowledge of cGMPs, SHE, SOX policies and regulations preferred
  • Minimum of three (3) years' experience in supply chain management is preferred
  • Competent in SAP, APO (ECC, SNP, SMT), APOSTDMS, BW, XMii, Gazelle is preferred
  • Experience with demand management in a Lean Manufacturing/Operations setting is preferred
  • Knowledge of the international supply chain operations organization and strategy is preferred
  • APICS Certification is preferred
