The Internet of Things Services Group (ISG) is the fastest growing division of the company, having the responsibility of building the core IoT related services and solutions. Arm's connectivity management product has become a key part of Arm's strategy in accelerating our service portfolio. Because of our tremendous progress, we are searching for a passionate Product Manager to help accelerate, shape and improve the Product Management Strategy.

About the role:

As Product Manager you will take responsibility for several products and features throughout their lifecycle. In cooperation with the rest of the Product team, you will have a key role in the planning and delivery of the Product Roadmap. You will be passionate about ensuring our products remain disruptive, cutting edge and continue to revolutionise the IoT market.

You will engage collaboratively with prospective partners, existing clients, 3rd party integrators and various internal teams from engineers to leadership. You will play an integral role in shaping the roadmap of our future developments and improving the software and infrastructure services required to connect billions of new devices to the internet.

The role will be based in Glasgow with occasional requirement to travel to other Arm sites, customers and partners.

Your responsibilities:

  • Understand and represent your customer needs while identifying user problems
  • Analyse competitors and identify gaps in our product offering
  • Propose product improvements that address customer, team, and company needs
  • During pre-release planning, you will partner with Product Managers and customers to define and refine customer use cases and initiatives.
  • Provide vision, direction and methodology to engineering teams and stakeholders across projects
  • Play an active role in resolving blockers preventing successful completion
  • Assist in the ongoing communication with business stakeholders
  • Ensuring that product updates meet acceptance criteria and our definition of done
  • Assess value/return on investment, develop business cases, assist the wider product team in prioritising epics and stories to align with overall business and product strategy
Job Requirements

Essential Skills:

  • Proven background in Product lifecycle and development
  • Experience of working in an agile environment
  • Strong stakeholder engagement skills
  • Positive can-do attitude
  • Highly motivated, reliable
  • Ability to structure workload and manage time productively
  • Computer-literate, proficient user of MS Office and related tools
  • Good communicator, both written and verbal
  • ability to find innovative ways of solving or pre-empting problems

Desired skills:

  • Experience working in a start-up / scale up environment
  • Experience with cellular network technologies such as SIM cards, 3G/4G, APN's
  • Skills and experiences in the development of mobile network server equipment's such as Over-The-Air SIM card management (OTA) or Remote SIM Provisioning (RSP). e.g eUICC, eSIM, SM-SR, SM-DP
  • Understanding of Software development tools such a Jira, Gitlab and Balsamiq
  • Experience or knowledge of IoT
  • Experience of writing processes or documented current state within a business context

About the office

Our Arm Glasgow office is home to teams from our Cloud Services division in our IoT Services Group (ISG). Glasgow enthralls with theatres, galleries and museums, bustling nightlife and shopping rated the UK's best outside of London. You'll find Skypark in Finnieston, Glasgow's new business quarter. Set in the middle of the city centre and West End, Finnieston is a well-established, vibrant neighbourhood, home to some of the city's finest bars and restaurants. It's also home to Scotland's premier conference venue, the SECC, and the city's latest concert arena, The Hydro. The Riverside Museum isn't far off, and the Science Centre and IMAX cinema are a short walk away, over one of the many bridges that cross the Clyde.
